Brentford v Spurs for me tonight. Bentinha start together for the first time since Arsenal away in November. Gray pushed forward into Bergvall role. Romero back in for Danso. Odobert preferred to RKM on the left. Cold here!

It's been quite a year for Tottenham Hotspur. I'm still trying to get my head around it. So where does it leave them for 2026?

My piece: www.nytimes.com/athletic/692...
Has Tottenham’s year of change really set them up for ‘more wins, more often’?
Spurs' new power-brokers insist on-pitch success is their priority - is the club now set up to achieve it?

Say what you like about Thomas Frank’s freewheeling Tottenham Hotspur, they have the best away record in the Premier League.

My piece from Selhurst Park

Tottenham’s away form is invaluable, but more is needed to convince fans
For all the sluggishness, there are at least some areas where Frank’s Spurs are making clear measurable progress.

Adam Wharton makes passing the ball forward to a team-mate look like the simplest thing in the world. Which is strange because Tottenham's midfielders generally make it look like trying to solve a niche branch of quantum mechanics.

Sometimes fans get quieter when a game looks lost. This time they got louder and more supportive. And the team responded in kind
