Teen: what is technetium, a metal?
Husband: don’t listen to mama, she thinks everything that isn’t hydrogen and helium is a metal
Me: BECAUSE IT’S TRUE

Y’all having a teenager is fucking wild. The craft room shares a wall with the teen’s bedroom and I’ve been listening in on her conversation and the brain rot is real.

All I want to do is linocut, but instead it's a little too late stage capitalism outside for that.

one of the IEP goals for the toddler was for her to be able to sing 2 songs and I'm not saying that it's ruining my life, but if I never hear the tune of the ABCs again, i will not complain.

I understand that avoiding Target can be hard (we still do), especially in some areas. Like for whatever reason* no one has cheaper ground pork and eggs around here. THAT BEING SAID, I DO NOT understand if you cannot avoid Starbucks. Like y'all, just don't cross that picket line.

I really dislike a lot of things about this coffee shop (e.g., the coffee, the food, etc.), but all of a sudden The Get Up Kids started playing, which almost makes up for all the other issues.

Have these boots been inside the state of Texas? No.
Did I shake them out for critters since I haven’t worn them in 8 months? That is between me and the scorpions.

P.S. you can pry the skinny jeans from my warm, not wet millennial legs.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

About an hour after Ellis entered this injunction, a group of agents, including Bovino, drove away from a Southwest Side gas station where they were confronted by protestors, and fired a round of pepper balls at a sedan that pulled up alongside their vehicle, reports @chicagotribune.com

Federal agents in Chicago are aggressive everywhere but they elevate this in the SW Side. They don’t just snatch people and leave. They linger longer, march down streets with guns, interrupt traffic flows. The attacks feel concerted to instill as much fear & display power over immigrant mhoods.

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

The toddler decided that she wanted popcorn and that while my husband was putting away the Halloween inflatable was the best time to microwave a bag for about 30 minutes.
