Mark Kelly is spot-fucking-on. Like Trump, Nicolás Maduro is a despotic scumbag. By kidnapping Maduro, Trump just made the world infinitely more dangerous. The stupidity of Trump's attack, kidnapping, occupation...

Oh look, a leader with a backbone…

Spanish PM Sánchez has stated that Spain will neither recognize the govt of Nicolás Maduro nor support any U.S. military intervention in Venezuela, warning that such action would violate international law and endanger regional stability.

BASH: There's no question that Maduro was a destabilizing force in the region. People are celebrating in the streets all over. Is it fair to say there's some benefit in him not being in power?

So President Trump seems to think the Govt of Venezuela has already been toppled and in fact the government's foreign minister is touching base with Iran about getting support.

This is a massive gift in violation of international law, essentially just co-opting an entire country's natural resources for the benefit of 🇺🇸 Companies.”

"Senior Venezuelan government officials, led by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez...have quietly promoted a series of initiatives in recent months aimed at presenting themselves to Washington as a “more acceptable” alternative to Nicolás Maduro’s regime...funneled through intermediaries in Qatar."
Exclusive: Venezuelan leaders offered U.S. a path to stay in power without Maduro
Delcy and Jorge Rodríguez used Doha backchannels to offer Washington a 'Cartel Light' plan for a managed Venezuela transition that keeps chavismo in power.
