Fact check: True. (The GOP have proposed killing the ACA quickly by repealing the law and have proposed killing it slowly by ending subsidies.)

And, senator, how many people will die because they can’t afford insurance without a subsidy and won’t get to vote in Nov. 2026?

It would be one thing if the GOP killed the filibuster to help average Americans, but they would use it to rip away health insurance, give even more tax cuts for the 1%, etc. In short, they would do the exact OPPOSITE of what the electorate showed last night it wants. Do it, GOP!

I find it ridiculous that we’re talking of “terms” and “election.” Trump doesn’t want to be elected to a third term. No, he wants to be president for life—no limits, no elections, no expiration date.

So which is it: Trump is “governing by decree” OR Trump is ”ruling by decree”? That’s the only real debate left.

Yes, and anybody who thinks the GOP will surrender any power in 2027 or 2029—regardless of the election results—is delusional.

I have little doubt that the UA president will sign. If he does, we'll see next steps (i.e. protests, resignations, shifting of resources to other institutions that respect academic freedom, etc.).
