Y’all, we have to resist knee-jerk reactions. I’m seeing a lot of good accounts reposting misinformation, and everyone getting worked up.

Please check before reposting and adding to everyone’s fears, stress, and anger. Thx!

Today, we are presenting a decisive €90 billion support package combining military assistance and budget support.

It will fund the military support Ukraine needs to defend itself against Russia’s invasion, while keeping Ukrainian hospitals, schools, and public services running. (1/2)

This gentleman's analogy encapsulates the pedophile president's blithering idiocy in Venezuela to perfection. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👇

Just spent five weeks in Europe, too. Can confirm…
many Americans will concede that imperialism is the price we all pay to maintain a certain quality of life but I just spent 5 weeks in Europe using public transport and eating food that doesn’t taste like shit so I dunno man.

I love when a color photo looks almost black and white like these trees just photographed while crossing Snoqualmie Pass.

Thank goodness for booksellers like @littleghostsbooks.bsky.social who protect authors and indie presses by not returning books. We have to pay full price plus shipping on returns. It’s our biggest expense and affects whether authors get royalties.

I love you for this. Thank you!!!
Little Ghosts Books will be 4 in March and we have never returned a single book to distribution/ a publisher. Returns lead to costs accrued by indie publishers, royalties lost, & books being pulped. Every year we do the NO RETURNS SALE, offering 45-65% off titles to get them in the hands of readers.

Everybody's going to be reposting this. As they should.

The other thing about normalizing gAI use in higher ed is that we are teaching our students that they cannot trust their own creativity, their own thoughts and brains, their own skills without having it reshaped/shellacked/transmogrified by LLMs. We’re setting them up for failure and dependence.

Thanks for sharing this document, @rweingarten.bsky.social.

I read it, and I believe it's inexcusably inadequate and will not prepare teachers or schools to confront the very real dangers of the "A.i." products pushed by your partners, including OpenAI.

A few thoughts for your consideration...
