Today is the first annual Feast of Seven Potatoes. Dessert is what I've named a Dirt Princess Potato Cake: vintage potato fudge cake, crème diplomat and marzipan like a Swedish princess cake, finished with grated black marzipan "dirt" and marzipan potatoes.

This project sounds amazing, hope they find the housing partner they want with ease and it goes as smoothly as possible. Among much else, fun to have another music venue I can walk to.

Here's to my city's Little Free Failure of Capitalism and its neighborly kindness with an attitude. They were switching over from summer needs to fall/winter when I swapped by, so an unusual number of bins are labeled but empty.

Slightly bitter shout-out to the CEO who made a whole-ass company rule about the first person into the office (often me) having to turn on allllll the lights because they were once surprised by me sitting at my computer in a mostly dark office

The menu has been formalized for the first annual Feast of Seven Potatoes and idk when I was last this excited about a December holiday. It's Finnish-American-Korean and potatoes will definitely be getting harmed. As will our dignity.

Welp, after years of planning, pots of dedicated funding, promises that despite other elements getting yanked from the plans that sidewalk repairs were still on the table, the only sidewalk on LWB that got repaved this year was the segment right in front of Bruce's house.

I really hope Julie Wise has gotten an apology from Harrell for the election nonsense in his concession speech. Assume if it comes up in public he'll claim he was joking. Yes, I'm still mad about it.
Voter turnout in the Seattle election has reached 55.95%. That's the highest mayoral election voter turnout this century for the city, besting even the 2009 election when there was 54.99% voter turnout.
