I have this problem with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers and I've concluded that I don't actually like either enough to conclusively settle which is which
TIL that what I thought was Bread is Bad Company and what I thought was Bad Company is actually Free. (I was a literal infant in the 1970s and cannot be blamed for this)

These are not technologies that Seattle has been using forever that are difficult to contemplate not using. Just go back to June 2024 when SPD had a handful of license plate readers and no CCTV cameras.

I just remembered that Dick Cheney is dead and damn, the emotional lift I experienced. What a comfort! Might bake a celebratory cake all over again.

All I really want for him is all the traffic-calming plans that he cancelled for his lakeside street to be implemented. He sounds bitter. I'm cool if he stays that way.

I baked my granddad's dog biscuit recipe for the little free bakery box today and neighbors meeting and chatting over their goofy lil butt-waggling dogs was a not-terrible thing here this afternoon.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Two kids I know at the high school and three middle school neighbors who recently baked their lifetime first cookies for my little free bakery box were impacted by this.
