The #PlasticsTreaty is a powerful opportunity to #BeatPollution right now, with a majority of states calling for measures to reduce production and regulate chemicals of concern. #BreakFreeFromPlastic
Chemicals are part of modern life. But when they aren’t managed well, they contribute to pollution that harms ecosystems and causes ≈9 million deaths a year.

Science shows it's possible to #BeatPollution: smarter design → safer use → sound management → healthier people and planet.

AOC: An agency that is attacking U.S. citizens, kidnapping five-year-olds and using them as bait, and privately circulating the idea that they can violate the rights of Americans by busting down their doors—they deserve to be defunded, and I’ll take any step in that direction.

Trump’s plan to open California’s coastline to oil drilling threatens more than ocean life
OPINION: The Trump administration plans to open the length of California’s coast to offshore oil and gas development, regardless of the law and the consequences.

1. Hundreds of corps that pledged to stop donating to members of Congress who voted to overturn the election on 1/6/21 have broken their promise over the last 5 years

But we've identified 10 promise keepers:

Nike
Clorox
Eversource Energy
Holland & Hart

Whirlpool
Lyft
Five years later, these 10 corporations still aren’t funding election deniers

Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.

There is no justification for Trump's action against Maduro and Venezuela that cannot be applied to Trump himself.
We cannot wait until 2028 to remove him from office.
The Congressional elections this year need to remove enough of Trump's enablers that he can be effectively impeached and removed.

This retraction of a glyphosate study ghost-written by Monsanto is welcome, if long overdue. To regain the public's trust in science, we have to disclose conflicts of interest. We have to support independent science that is free from industry influence. cen.acs.org/research-int...

Important story on the dangers a class of chemicals commonly used in plastic pose for human health.

EPA and FDA have known about this for decades but have failed to protect people. This is a common problem for plastic chemicals, most of which remain inadequately tested and unregulated.
Phthalates, widely used to make plastics soft and pliable, have been linked to a variety of serious health conditions, including premature birth and infertility.

But these chemicals are still everywhere. Here’s why:
How these chemicals went everywhere and threatened our health
These chemicals continue to contaminate Americans’ food, decades after scientists recognized their dangers.
