I write about music for the almighty Albumism.com massive. I do a hip hop podcast called Return To Zero. I occasionally have thoughts and sometimes I share them.

I podcast about music. Along with Urkel Moe Dee (who hasn't migrated here yet), we've done 100 episodes of Return to Zero. Give it a listen to learn about us and our expansive love for hip-hop culture. Plus, we talk Nickelodeon, hip-hop collectables and other stuff.

Baby Huey certainly gave a star-making performance on what would sadly be his posthumous debut. Not quite as underappreciated 55 years later, but it still makes you wonder what could have been.

So, wait… after almost 25 years, Michael Jackson was right? Tommy Mottola is a devil?

Though Mad Skillz (now just Skillz) was forged in competitive cyphers and the mid-1990s battle circuit, he put together a thoroughly entertaining debut with a few of the best songs of the era.

I had the pleasure to interview the legendary Ras Kass about his forthcoming new album, “Leopard Eats Face.” We also touch on older rappers releasing music, being a father to a pair of dope emcees, and functioning in a group vs as a solo artist.
The legendary Ras Kass is set to release his new album 'Leopard Eats Face' this Friday 2/13 and we had the good fortune of speaking with him about the project and his storied career | Read the full interview by @jesseducker.bsky.social + listen to tracks from the album here: album.ink/RasKassInt

“They took our jerbs” was the whole f-ing “point” of this disgusting exercise.
...wait, what?

... ...that's not how that works. You don't deport the JOBS with them. If they were in fact illegally occupying a job that would otherwise be filled by a citizen, the number would either RISE or NOT CHANGE 🤦‍♂️
Peter Navarro: "The jobs report comes out tomorrow. We have to revise our expectations down significantly for what a monthly job number should look like ... Wall Street has to adjust for the fact that we're deporting millions of illegals out of the job market."

Chris Crack edition:

White People Don’t Use Wash Rags
Coi Leray Videos With the Sound Off
Putting All My Bills in Jesus’ Name
Friends Was the White Living Single
Deleted Your City Off My Weather App
Only Take Bathroom Breaks On the Clock
If She Ain’t 280 She Ain’t a Lady
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

Run up the damn score.
For any elected official who needs to hear this, I impart a lesson learned from the NFL:

When the other team is tired and on the back foot, you don’t call a timeout so they can catch their breath. You grind their fucking face into the dirt until the final whistle blows and you’ve won the game.

One of the better albums of the 21st century. Expertly crafted on both the lyrical and musical end. And damn if “America Loves Gangstas” isn’t even more resonant today as it was 20 years ago.

What’s wild is he first went solo back in 2004 with “Strength & Honor” but the The UN “U N Or U Out” dropped on 456 so it got re-released in 2005. We had to wait until 2010 for “Marcberg”
I do very much appreciate Roc Marci’s absolute commitment to keeping his s**t dusty and grimy AF 16 years into his solo career.

Third season of Gangs of London finally showing up on AMC plus. Like close to a year after it finished in the UK. Going to be a pain going ep to ep on a weekly basis.

Started decent so far.

This Justin and this site changed my life. Very much for the better. Thanks for giving me the chances to write about albums that I love. Keep doing your thing.
Albumism was born 10 years ago in January 2016 as a global platform & community dedicated to celebrating albums past, present and future.

THANK YOU to all of the artists, readers & writers who have proven—as Prince once famously declared—that ALBUMS STILL MATTER and will for a mighty long time.
