If Dems were good at politics and played a ruthless game they'd run this Signal debacle for 2 years. This is what Republicans would do and this is actually a real threat and problem.

In case you’ve forgotten how we used to treat this sort of thing…

There would be bipartisan calls for investigations

Impeachment would be a foregone conclusion

Several people would’ve resigned or been fired by end of day

NEW: In October, we published secret recordings of Russell Vought discussing plans to eviscerate entire agencies and decimate the morale of federal workers if Trump won a second term.

It's hard to imagine a more prescient piece of journalism, our editor-in-chief @sengelberg.bsky.social writes.
The October Story That Outlined Exactly What the Trump Administration Would Do to the Federal Bureaucracy
Historians have hindsight when they look into the past; journalists have the facts on the ground and context to help them look ahead. That means we can sometimes be surprised by how prescient a story ...

The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific.

If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

Latest from me: 3 Kentucky sheriff's offices and 1 jail recently sought 287(g) agreements to partner with ICE. 2 deals signed so far, one of which uses a model newly reinstated by Trump after the U.S. government dropped it 10+ years ago b/c it was tied to racial profiling.
These Kentucky sheriffs are signing up to help Trump’s ICE
Last month, no Kentucky law enforcement had formal partnerships with immigration agents. That just changed.

My question is whether Wall Street understands that an important segment of the EV market customer base will not buy a Tesla at any price. It could teleport me places and I would not buy it. I would not drive one if you gave it to me for free.

Trump and Vance are shamefully doing Putin’s bidding right from the Oval Office. It’s an absolute disgrace. I’m filled with rage as I watch this. I stand with all of you who believe deeply in the ideals of freedom and democracy. I’m disgusted by our president bending a knee to Putin.
Trump to Zelenskyy: "Don't tell us what we're gonna feel. You're in no position to dictate that. You're in no position to dictate what we're gonna feel. We're gonna feel very good and very strong. You're right now not in a very good position. You're gambling with World War 3."
