I saw this in The Theater and I LOVED IT! It seems the days of an Independent Film blowing up doesn’t really happen anymore and this one certainly deserved to. So original and timely. Tilda over the top and sublime. Julio heartbreaking. Wonderful Immigration Lawyer character also.
I was delighted to find out that Via Vision did a blu ray of Problemista! After it was basically abandoned by A24 I assumed it wasn’t getting a release. But very happy to add this and look forward to rewatching soon. (The movie is better than the key art might have you believe.) #FilmSky

Streak? LOL it’s purposeful and to me it is a judgement on Gay actors. Think of the irony of trying to tell compassionate Queer stories asking for acceptance yet thru his casting he doesn’t have any. Gets me pissed off.
Yeah, I do definitely understand that. But I trust Haynes as a director and his work has been some of the most remarkable queer storytelling over the years so I’ll still see things he puts out. I do hope he changes that streak though! And here’s hoping Pedro is queer, for many reasons. 🤭

Catherine Deneuve doesn’t do her own singing not sure about the rest of the cast. It’s interesting that even though it is the ‘60s it has a timeless quality.
