I don’t think the only trans member of Congress should go one-on-one with the deranged poster Republican congresswoman and telling normies she’s a distracting in a vacuum is fine. But party leadership isn’t doing the work of fighting back so it rings super hollow for all of us.

It would be politically smart for Democrats to name their own health team--a volunteer slate of healthcare officials (an alternative HHS head, surgeon general, CDC chief, etc.) who will offer factual info about health and science for the next 4 years. Start showing voters what a contrast looks like.
Politico is reporting Trump will name Dr. Ladapo of Florida to a senior spot, likely Surgeon General or Assistant HHS.
This would be a horrifying pick for trans people. He's responsible for Florida's adult trans ban, and works with SEGM/Anti-trans global movement.
