NEW: California now has nearly 17,000 megawatts of battery storage – reaching one-third of the way to our 2045 goal.

We're deploying more battery storage than any state in America, building a stronger grid, cutting pollution, and securing a safer future for our nation.

A draft report commissioned by the WA gov referenced "significant risks" from gas which were removed in the final version, according to the ABC.

"It really is climate denial for Roger Cook to suggest the more gas exports WA has, the better it is for the climate."

Keir Starmer has effectively started a leadership challenge against himself. To have entered into this kind of madhouse Westminster squabbling so soon after an election is simply unforgivable.

It ain’t 2016, and @australianlabor.bsky.social now has broad community support for reform of negative gearing tax concessions and removal of capital gains tax exemptions.
Grandfather existing conditions and legislate reform.
Stand up to @albomp.bsky.social
That @albomp.bsky.social
@australianlabor.bsky.social Govt refuses to address negative gearing tax concessions and capital gains tax exemptions, in the midst of this nation’s most dire housing crisis, is worse than unconscionable.
It’s egregious.

I find the endless, often pointless drama that has typified UK politics coverage for a decade as draining & unedifying as anyone. But, *as of now* & by every relevant measure, Starmer’s position is perilously close to untenable. Of course people are planning for a future where he’s no longer leader.
