4 x 20 year olds (one of them mine) came home at 415am to my house after a mammoth night out. Quietly got themselves crashed on the sofa and floor. This morning at 1030 I did bacon butties all round. They were chatty, interesting and interested. Don’t believe the hype, friends. Gen Z is ok

Well I’ve loved Sara Cox this week. I’ve found her profoundly inspiring and I’ve been staggered at her professionalism with everyone she meets, despite being in so much pain. I really have been moved at times. Utter legend

Today I did a 4 mile walk with my 15 year old, testing him on Macbeth ahead of GCSE mocks next week. Nice being with him and much easier than doing it with him at the table. Got home and overcooked the beef and Yorkshires were only a 6/10. All the veggies were lush. A day of mixed fortunes, pals

I’m going to have to work all weekend because next 2 weeks are manic and I haven’t finishing prepping for them yet. Got to a natural stop point just now so am finishing for today and am partaking in a lovely bubbly bath. The decadence
