Today I was using Venmo and got an error message that it couldn’t connect to my payment method. My mind immediately went to that scene in The Handmaid’s Tale and I thought, “Is this it? Is today the day?” Yes, it was a glitch. No I’m clearly not ok.

Two teen migrants were stabbed, one fatally, in Lower Manhattan by a group of men who first asked if they spoke English. They were stabbed after they said, “No.”
