2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

I would like to hear similar sentiments expressed with as much conviction by leading UK politicians.
Macron remarks are notable- some quotes: "We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks that are controlled either by large American entrepreneurs or large Chinese companies, whose interests are not at all the survival or proper functioning of our democracies."
President Macron: “Europeans, let's wake up!

We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks.”

2. The amount of casual violence in everyday life. Fights outside the pub were a regular feature of life in the 90s in a way they aren't anymore. I often think of this piece by @twlldun.bsky.social on this subject: medium.com/@twlldun/a-b...
A brief history of low-level violence

Sorry, wtf? Speaking personally, I don't "live with being autistic ", I am autistic. I also don't fancy the idea of the police sticking a green band on me because I am, rather than providing officers with actual training so they don't continue to discriminate against neurodivergent individuals. 1/

Young people will still suffer if we do not address childhood trauma, and the intergenerational pain will continue.

I've had enough of hurt children becoming hurt adults trapped in dysregulated nervous systems.

We need to grow a nation of cycle breakers.🧠🌱

When we are dealing with a dysregulated pupil, we can regulate them by the tone of our voice, how we listen to them, and our non-verbal signals, and they will be able to reflect our calm.
This is called co-regulation. When one nervous system supports and eases another. 🧠🌱

A walk through Ludlow’s Broad Gate. The only survivor of the town’s original 7 medieval gates, which date back to the 13th century. You can still see slot for portcullis in the gate. It’s also still used by cars (whom I suspect don’t agree that it’s a broad gate 😆) #ludlow #ludlowtownwall #medieval

In consoling a friend recently, I put words to something I've felt since my first brush with loss but never managed to articulate:

One of the hardest things about loss is the co-existence of grieving time with normal time, in ways that can be both comfortingly complementary and jarringly dissonant.

🧠 Emotional Regulation:
Neuroscience shows how emotional responses are wired in the brain—especially in the amygdala and prefrontal cortex. Psychotherapy helps rewire those circuits through insight, reflection, and new behavioural patterns.

ACEs / trauma can have a profound impact on brain development. Neurobiologically,it impairs pre-frontal cortex activity responsible for executive functions regulating emotions, logic & judgement. This can lead to heightened emotional responses.

Trauma is at its worst when children have nowhere to run. They are exposed to things they shouldn't & learn to mask & present themselves & their world as fine until someone comes to save them. The abnormal becomes normal they normalise dysfunction because it is all they know🧠🌱
