I haven’t liked a lot of what Mark Carney has done, but this seems like something that fits within his policy priorities to address.
Canada won four golds at Beijing 2022, the least since Lillehammer 1994.
No golds after 8 days of Milan-Cortina 2026.
Federal sport funding last increased in 2005 and Olympic legacy from 2010 helped Canada to 10+ golds in 2010, 2014 and 2018, then it's gone right back down.
