Laurent Dubreuil missed the Beijing 2022 500m podium by 0.03 seconds and finished fourth.

Silvers at the World Championships in 2023 and 2024.

He had to wait through four skaters to watch his medal fate — and he finishes with bronze in Milan.

There he was, sitting on the inside of the long track arena in sweatpants awaiting his fate.

Canada’s Laurent Dubreuil wins 500m bronze with what was at the time an Olympic record.

He’s 33 years old in his third Olympics and just gave the performance of his career.

Look I won’t pretend to follow curling closely but I was always more of a Gushue gal
"Can you believe that the Brad Jacobs team are acting like hothead cheaters and yelling 'fuck off' to opponents at the Olympics??"

(thinking deeply for 2 seconds) "yes I can believe that"

I just need @callmematub.bsky.social to see this
CURLING BEEF! CURLING BEEF! CURLING BEEF! CURLING BEEF!

(I never post Olympic videos bc the IOC will hunt you down but I am taking that risk so that you can hear the Canadian curling cursing)

Biggest upset of the Games and it’s not even close.

He deserves a lot of credit for the sportsmanship he showed to Shaidorov in the worst moment of his life
It’s an 8th place finish for Ilia Malinin

The overwhelming favourite to win gold

Wow

Holy hell this is a wild finish to the men’s event.

So many top skaters having a bad night. Can’t recall ever seeing something like this.
This has been a stunning night of men’s figure skating.

Laced with so many errors.

Heart-wrenching to watch.

TAKE A BOW

My goodness has he delivered at his first Olympics. Whatever the score, whatever the placement, Gogolev can be proud of everything he’s done in Milan.

The poise and grace in which Maxim Naumov has shown as he navigates the unfathomable tragedy of losing both parents in a plane crash is remarkable

His dad’s favourite saying was “expect the unexpected” and Max just told me it’s helped him through all of this. What an inspiration

Not to be for William Dandjinou

Who led for the majority of the race

And in the closing lap went from first to off the podium.

That is short track speed skating folks.
