How to know you work in tech: I just realized I put up an OOO notice on Slack last week, but forgot to set up an OOO auto-reply for email because it’s such an afterthought for me. I also removed work email from my phone for the holidays so if you’re trying to email me, too bad!

I know we all know this but just a reminder, get ALL the free tests your household is owed, every time, even if you still have a stockpile because it’s one of the few direct tools we have to communicate to the government that WE STILL NEED FREE TESTS and there’s still high demand for COVID resources

I know I’m old because my teen and tween children are unable to explain the use of the word “zesty” to me in a way that my adult brain can comprehend. (I think I should get partial credit for understanding “riz,” though I’d never dare try to use it in a sentence)

The paperwork is telling me that my youngest child will graduate high school in 2030, but that’s obviously a made-up Star Trek year, here in the real world it was 1997 just the other day

I think the rule for AI is this: would you let a child with excellent diction, grammar, and access to google but a five year old understanding of logic and the world we live in write this?

No?

Then lol okay
