It is genuinely shocking how little Trump's attack on universities relies on law and policy. Even this profile of May Mailman, a Harvard-trained lawyer, who is active in the Trump administration's plan to transform higher education, barely mentions legal predicates.

Also, no crowd of that size goes quiet that quickly and in such a linear way - just like it would if you were pulling down the fader. Fox News has broken the brains of my parents and other relatives - nothing has done more to divide our country.

I’ve struggled to understand Trump’s ability to accrue and maintain power - it often doesn't make any sense. But I've found Robert Greene’s book “The 48 Laws of Power” to be a helpful tool to explain why what he does works, and how to see through the spectacle.
