The whole "clumsy goofy cringe flirting BUT IT WORKS" is so important to me because it shows society (or at least my peers) moving on from performative bullshit around projecting a facade of desirability and conforming to expectations. We're all fucked up creatures and we should love each other.

I find it really nice how constantly respectful of homeless people the Yakuza series is. A lot of substories have you stand up for them and stress they are human beings as much as anyone else. It especially feels more endearing now given how awful attitudes are towards them nowadays.
