Absolutely love playing in @salfordsymphony.bsky.social and the concert on Sunday 29 June is a musical treat. Why not join us? @salfordnow.bsky.social @salfordcity.bsky.social
So lucky to have the brilliant guitarist, Richard Haslam as our soloist at our upcoming Spanish flavoured summer concert. Vibrant, soul-stirring music and our signature warm Salford welcome guaranteed. Do come!

That’s the thing about taking a new turning when in London: one moment you are knee deep in diamond dealers then the next you look up and you seem to be in Rome. It’s daylight but above you is a canopy of stars. @visitlondon.bsky.social @hattongarden.bsky.social

Any #knitting fans out there who made something new for the cold weather? I made this hat super-chunky wool on 5.5 mm needles. The slip2over moves were bit of a struggle at this scale but worth it! @knitty.com @knitnannassyd.bsky.social @handknittreasures.bsky.social @handknithome.bsky.social

Got to love After Eights but the key word is underlined; if they get much smaller it will be hard to find them in their envelope…!

A terrible sign of the times.
So sad. I loved that shop - sold everything from sheet music to strings to instruments, as well as CDs and vinyl. Their hire-to-buy scheme got many young musicians started who couldn't afford to buy a new instrument outright.

Agree. Books - life-enhancing unmitigated joy.
it is such a joy that for an entire life you can pursue only the highest art, from middlemarch one day to proust the next, and never run out of experiences that signal the best, most singular mind you have ever met
