May I tempt you to some Oslo photography on an early Sunday?

Oslo has been home for almost four decades. Familiarity might breed contempt, but I use my camera(s) to keep that particular wolf from the door. This is the first installation of … many.

I don't know who needs this information, but Netflix has a 6-episode Spanish murder mystery, "City of Shadows," that centers on Gaudi's buildings in Barcelona. With locations like this, the plot barely matters.

I've been saying for years--Texas isn't a "red" state. Texas is a non-voting state. We have among the lowest voter turn-outs in the nation/world. When voters vote, things change.

And, yes, they make it hard to vote here. And, yes, you know why.

It is THE DAY

The LAST DAY

The Day to SUBMIT

This got weird fast but for real, please do consider submitting something for our upcoming workshop on women and the sea! And if you can't, keep an eye on this space, because we'll have some way to attend/contribute digitally, too!

Niche research question: has anyone come across the Universal Youth Community for Peace, Freedom and Progress in the 1930s and whether it was in any way connected to the Comintern? I can’t find anything but worried I’ve missed something. @msadams.bsky.social @olebirklaursen.bsky.social maybe?
