Soft launch? To hell with that, we're doing hard launches.

I'm endeavoring to focus more on fiction writing in 2026, and that means I'll be self-publishing short stories and blogs about my writing on my new Substack, No One's Gonna Write It For You.

God, I wish I had as much time to devote to useless Internet bullshit as this dude.
If you've noticed that your IMDb page has shrunken dramatically, here is the "original voice" purist hall monitor below supposedly responsible for that:

For those of us who pay quarterly taxes or any other payment by December 31, this unheralded change in postal policy can bite you in the butt. This could have other unforeseen consequences (e.g., mail-in balloting), but for now, this is more timely.

ICYMI: My goal in 2026 is to write more fiction, in the form of short stories.

If you want to support or see more of my writing in 2026, please make sure to add No One's Gonna Write It For You to your reading list.

Honestly, after a long work week, three consecutive weekends of family get-togethers, and hard launching the new Substack for my writing, I resigned myself to a weekend of absolutely fucking nothing, and it was divine and very, very needed.

Of the writer/artist of post-Crisis Superman, Jerry Ordway doesn’t get enough love. Too much attention is given to Byrne, Jurgens is my favorite, but damn Ordway’s art just sings in ways that Byrne’s doesn’t

📌Just heard an interview with John Mellencamp.

Jack, in "Jack and Diane" was written as a black dude. They were an interracial couple. Thing is, the music producers didn't like that back then, so it wasn’t sold that way.
Mellencamp was asked why.

"Because America is racist as hell, that’s why ..."

I watched The Seventh Seal for the first time the other day and it blew my mind in the best possible ways. Really wish I had watched this one when I was first hearing about it.

A little gutted to discover that during one of my many hard drive upgrade/transfers/reinstalls over the years, I managed to lose my Dark Souls 3 saves 🥲

Not necessarily the end of the world, but it's the only one I finished, so it was nice to have for posterity's sake.

If you know anything about the TMNT toy line, this is honestly crazy. Playmates have been making figures since the '80s. Legitimately generational run with this license.
Playmates and Viacom will not be renewing their licensing agreement for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Their partnership will end on December 31st, 2026 - bit.ly/4axAYDu

I know this is counterproductive to the entire medium of comics, but: stories don't really matter if you don't let their endings have meaning, and Marvel seems to be giving up on five years of new characters to tug at the strings of two of its best narrative endings.

Even after all the price increases, Game Pass is still strong enough to bring a dead (albeit recently deceased) fighting game up on the charts. Though I would be curious to see how many of those users kept playing and how many did the story mode and checked out.
