Not discussed enough is the tech leaders who shifted right partly did so to protect their grift. Andreessen is selling crypto Ponzi schemes. Musk’s wealth is mostly based on empty promises about colonies on mars, “full self driving”, and imaginary AGI. They need the GOP to protect their scams.
Yeah, you can give these guys agency for their dickishness. The simplest explanation is that wealthy, center-left tech guys turned into angry middle-aged white guys.

People on my hometown Facebook page (exurban DFW) praising this decision. “Godly” dipshits calling the woman a slut for “using abortion as birth control”, and declaring if her pregnancy kills her it’s god’s will, and she shouldn’t have been having sex. Just the absolute shittiest people imaginable.
Texas using the power of the state to force a pregnant woman to take on considerable health risks—hospitalized multiple times, may have more trouble getting pregnant again—to bring a nonviable fetus to term is incredibly cruel, and shows the effort to be about control, not life.
