Sorry, but a lack of support for autonomous vehicles is not among Sec Pete's biggest missed opportunities at USDOT.
For instance:
🔹 Failure to stop Tesla from lying about Autopilot, FSD, etc
🔹 Failure to curb car bloat
🔹 Continuing to spend fed $$ on highway expansions that won't fix congestion

a) I don’t understand how he managed to do this, or why, except possibly he went out to arrivals on autopilot given US airports don’t always check luggage through
b) he made his flight because a number of people helped him. Complaining that this proves the UK is broken strikes me as rude and silly.

Noah Smith is paid in the high six-figures to write a blog read by Americans who believe themselves to be intelligent. Yet, he is both unable to read a sign and also for some reason chose to have a 90 minute layover for a flight that takes 90 minutes.

Democratic party leadership has been on autopilot for ten years, they weren't losing to fascism, fascism isn't popular enough for them to lose to fascism, they were allowing it to fill the void where their leadership should have been. Tonight we're seeing that we have other options. They should too.

For example, if Tesla simply holds its car business around the 2m unit/year mark without major gains or losses it will hit that 20m unit cumulative delivery mark in a few years on Autopilot. There are also lots of tricky ways to claim 1 million robots/robotaxis without creating real value.
