Listening to a recent podcast episode of @acidhorizon.bsky.social where Mars McDougall called ketamine "libertarian psychoanalysis" and I don't think anything more perfect could be said today.
Relatedly, at @parapraxismag.bsky.social we published a great piece by Taija Mars McDougall about the drug-fueled impulses of Silicon Valley techno-optimism: how ketamine amplifies the Social Darwinist and eugenicist fantasies of the white and powerful

It's literally impossible to run the National Weather Service without talking to foreign partners.

For example, the National Hurricane Center in Miami shares data with other nations in the Caribbean constantly to forecast storms. Everyone benefits.

Weather doesn't stop at the borders.

Speaking of who is falling behind in the story arms race.
Senate Democrats had a luncheon to discuss how to go viral. “One of the bright spots Democrats highlighted…was a viral video from the pandemic of Warner making a tuna melt in his kitchen”

I'm reading Neptune in Aries as a war of visionaries, where military superiority is determined by skill at story/hypersigils. Exciting and horrifying in equal measures.

I wish I could full explain just how much weight many disabled people bear when we watch systems supposed to support us dismantled or re-purposed. When talk of rights is bandied around as immutable law.

Many people alive now? Would not have been, even in the 60s and 70s, in even the Global North

As I scoop cat litter from five boxes at 11pm after four days of having not done so due to insufficient time and energy of looking after a newborn, I wearily dab my nose of blood from the dry air and dry litter dust and reflect on the 6th house as the derived 2nd from the 5th house of children.

Me getting emotional a few times a week thinking about my benefics locked up in the 12th and 6th and my daughter's in their joys in the 11th and 5th 🥺 you will know delights even in these times, baby girl.

Jupiter in Gemini as ideological incubator. Break, modify, invent worldviews and see what sticks. Philosophical buckshot. Accuracy is not the goal.

Hooked on this fall cocktail of scotch, apple cider, campari, and lemon. Calls for grapefruit peel as garnish but it creates a perfect illusion of grapefruit flavor even without it. www.thrillist.com/recipe/scotc...

Bluesky understands that, just as in your own home, you can’t create a lovely & safe environment if you don’t have the capability to keep assholes away.

Like, locking the door.
