Our Sleeping Duck Indestruct bed frame arrived today. It's missing 2 legs that are required to build it and which were supposed to be included in the boxes (obviously). We started building it, then had to take it apart, and now have to wait.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

one of our kids has been similarly situated and masked/isolated for the benefit of the family; props to everyone who has been under the weather and has done likewise. may all of you recover fully and quickly
Spending Thanksgiving dinner alone in the spare room because I am sick and coughing obnoxiously, but the family came together like champs to take over dinner and I can hear them having a great time in the other room, and I am content, if physically miserable.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.
