"do video game npcs actually drive the cars" greatest thread in the history of games, locked by a moderator after 12239 pages of heated debate
in a game series called "grand theft auto", some of these sickos will even shoot or stab virtual human beings who are able to say full sentences and operate motor vehicles!

Back at Mr Richter’s pieces again today, trying to find elements I like from the other pieces. The tool cuts in the gruul one are amazing, more Jackson pollock than the regular lines on my favorite piece. One chance to cut those through the paint, no way to recreate or un-destroy. SF MOMA

today’s ocean walk took a different route. through the Dalia Dell by the Conservatory of Flowers, up through the Richmond and presidio, ending up at Golden Gate Bridge

with my birthday tomorrow and MOMA closed then I’m visiting now. this piece has captured my attention lately, it’s on the way to my favorite installation. something visceral about the tool marks directly on the canvas, creating with a process not a destination

this is the most exciting 8 seconds of racing I’ve ever recorded, Nolan Sigel spinning out and making a recovery in Laguna Seca’s corkscrew turn #indycar

A Borges story about a guy who gets AI to summarize all the world’s information for him, and then summarize the summary, until the AI has the whole world summarized into a single word. He sits alone at his desk, staring at the word, repeating it endlessly, certain he is experiencing everything

Democratic base: We hate spineless Democrats. We can't stand how they grant Republican framing on immigration, Gaza, and more. They are putting people at risk and abdicating their role as opposition leaders.

Chuck Schumer: I TRIPLE DOG DARE "TACO Trump" to go to war with Iran!!

I won't speak for others but I want candidates who won't just win the next election but aggressively, unapologetically destroy trumpism and rebuild everything he's broken. If you're too afraid of a 51-49 poll to even talk about an issue I have no faith that will be you
NEW: A deportation case exposes a rift among Democrats over how to take on Trump

One camp sees a pivotal moment to lean in and fight a lawless move.

Another camp sees a trap and wants to pivot to hitting Trump on his growing economic vulnerability.

Abrego Garcia's deportation case exposes a rift among Democrats over how to take on Trump
As some Democrats vocally push for the release of the man the administration says was mistakenly deported, others have sought to steer clear and focus on high prices and economic issues.

I work in software. It is not acceptable to have “master” branches anymore, despite source control having zero connection to the slave trade. Again, the language changed.

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

this last one happened to me, i invited a former colleague out to lunch to catch up and heard nothing for months. the other day i found the draft sitting in gmail unsent
Why didn't they text you back? Potential reasons:
- No service
- Sudden, intense hatred
- Someone better texted them
- Volcano
- Phone died
- They died
- No reason at all
- That conversation never happened. It was all your mind

Out to the botanical garden early, then straight on out to the ocean. I’m walking ~5 miles a day on average, nice to knock that all out before 9 am.
