Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

1.109 IOS app crashes.

When I enlarge a photo (such as the butterfly above), and then swipe to close it, the app freezes. It needs to ejected from memory and rebooted.

I already rebooted the phone. Still crashes.

can you imagine sitting in that audience as a three-star flag officer — decades in the service, multiple post-grad degrees and a virtually unequaled level of command expertise — and being forced to watch this dunderheaded dry drunk give an off-brand jordan belfort seminar?

What do New York Republicans need to do to fully repeal the SALT cap?

Nothing.

It's already set to expire in January 2026, saving New York families billions in taxes.

Remember, if the cap remains in any form, it's only because New York Republicans will have voted to keep it.
The SALT Republicans have more leverage than you think
It’s time to talk about SALT and why we think that New York, New Jersey and California Republicans have more leverage than others think.

Going on a national news show like This Week and hurling false and defamatory accusations when you’re a private person and not a government official seems like a risky legal strategy, Reince Preibus.

I don’t think there’s any question. Nothing you can do about it without SEC/DOJ enforcement. But if you assume this happening, best not to panic sell, and buy the dips if you can stomach it.

The Atlantic and @jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social are committing journalism today.

They have a vetted mega-scoop. They handled it responsibly.

The WH and Admin lied about it.

The Atlantic called their bluff.

The material released just now is even more damning for the Trump team.

The Mayor of NYC has been compromised by presidential blackmail.

The fear of a future indictment keeps Mayor Adams permanently under the thumb of the Trump Administration—at the expense of New York.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

Kathy Hochul could still remove Eric Adams from office right now. 'Let the process play out'? He just corruptly traded the powers of his office, and the people of the city, to subvert that process. Leaving him place is allowing him to deliver his end of the quid pro quo and makes her complicit.

It’s clear that some Jan. 6 defendants plotted their conspiracy to engage in violence at the Capitol while still present in their home states. Blue state prosecutors should consider whether they have jurisdiction to charge these crimes since Trump can’t pardon them.

People are overusing this “obeying in advance” term to the point it’s become a nonsensical trope. It means anything ranging from “complying with the literal current law” at one extreme, to “paying bribes to officials” at the other.

A. "The Republicans have broken our bipartisan agreement, harming the working class Americans they claim to support"

B. "We've never seen this before in history - an entire political party taking orders from the richest man on earth to sabotage America. It's shocking"
