Finally. These bogus warnings have been one of the most impact mistakes in modern medicine for women.
Hormone replacement therapy will no longer carry a warning label, FDA says
Black box labels on the medications — which are prescribed to treat menopause symptoms — warn of serious risks like breast cancer and heart attacks, which has discouraged some women from taking them.

The only good that may possibly come from today's Senate vote will be if Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to reconvene the House to vote on the agreement. If he does, there will be no doubt as to who is keeping the government shut down, and why.

Chuck Schumer should have been ousted as Senate Minority Leader a long time ago. He has lost influence over the Democrats he's supposed to lead. Even his own minority whip, Dick Durbin, did not stand with him on today's Senate vote. We can no longer afford his weakness and incompetence.

None of these cowards are up for reelection in 2026. Two of them plan to leave the Senate when their current term is up.
The 8 Senate Democratic Caucus members who voted to end the shutdown
There are few obvious threads connecting the group who broke the partisan impasse.

I truly believe if Jeffries and Schumer won't stand fast and negotiate a better deal, and can't unite their own caucuses, they must immediately be replaced. They will wake up to a party transformed by anger and betrayal, and fed up with phony promises. Deliver or get out.

The president of the United States is on his way to an NFL game after a weekend spent partying at his country club and fighting to starve poor Americans.

And Senate Democrats want to surrender to him?!

Fuck that and fuck them.

This is a fact not a threat. Every Dem who votes for any deal that doesn't include at least a one-year extension on ACA subsidies is going to be primaried with a younger and/or more effective candidate. And that candidate will win. Or have you already forgotten what happened last week?

Dear Congressional Democrats,

People are hurting, but we can't trade this pain for something worse. We can survive a lousy Turkey Day and not flying for a while. We can feed each other right now. What we can't survive is the betrayal of our leaders if you cave on the very eve of success.

Agreeing to stop screwing over one group of people just to screw over others in a different deadly way is not moral leadership. Mike Johnson can't be trusted. The only thing that might make this deal worthwhile is if there is a backroom agreement to remove Mike Johnson as speaker.

Classic "robbing Peter to pay Paul." Dems, do not give in. We're on the verge of success. Republicans are on the hot seat. If we cave to their healthcare blackmail thousands will be bankrupted by medical debt and die from lack of healthcare. It's worth a bad Thanksgiving. "Another day" may not come.
Amid the talk about Dems "caving," we can also imagine senators hearing from anguished SNAP recipients who can't feed their kids, fed'l employees who can't pay their rent, and constituents who can't go home for T'giving, and figuring, we'll fight this battle another day www.axios.com/2025/11/09/s...
