Amazon's capital expenditures for 2025 we're roughly $125 billion, with the vast majority going to AI for AWS.

Their Blink camera paid subscription trial I just activated (normally $5/month per device), which promises "computer vision person and vehicle detection", has spotted a car in my backyard.

Finally switched my home server over to Linux/Docker after...13 years.

I feel like companies are moving us back to a pseudo-1960's time-sharing model where you'd rent compute time on a mainframe.

If a personal device becomes too expensive, you'll happily pay the $XX.99/month to use their cloud service that provides those capabilities.

I got about 2 hours into vacation before my brain was all "better do stuff".

And now I'm outside cutting a melamine shelf to size for the cabinet in my laundry as it begins to snow.

Back in late 2024 I spotted a black balloon flying over the downtown core. It's late 2025 and TD Coliseum has opened and are advertising the Goo Goo Dolls are going to play.

With AI driving up memory and storage prices, I'm curious to see if we start to see more Linux offerings from laptop manufacturers.

I can't imagine Windows 11 on a laptop with 8GB of RAM is a fun experience.

I love how every article about smaller, cheaper vehicles in Canada inevitably ends with the rug pull of "we could get a really cheap $45,295 car!"

Sir, a base-model Nissan Micra cost $10,488 in 2019.
