Found my NOM membership card. This was THEE underground party in NYC in the 2000s. Think RV's Sarcastic Disco, cosmic, chuggers, Balearic classics, psychedelia, house gurners, so much class A enhancement. #Halcyondays

Mamdani: That’s how I felt when we came up with this plan. Together, we will expand the idea of what is possible in our city—and what sounds and noises we can make at a press conference.

What Clara said. I've been to Minneapolis once a year for the past 6 years and it's a fantastic city. Great food scene as well.
When this is over, and it is warmer, please consider a trip to the Twin Cities. It’s a gorgeous, generous place with great museums and cultural spots, and a walk/blade/bike around the lakes cannot be beat.
With employees afraid to work and customers fearful, Minneapolis businesses are losing $10 million to $20 million in sales a week, according to city estimates.

I once stood next to Elijah Wood at the Loft as he was having a conversation with a mutual friend. He gave me a friendly nod. At that same Loft I danced next to Jarvis Cocker.
One of my academic colleagues looks a bit like Bob Mortimer. One time near our labs I saw him walking towards me and I warmly said Hey Kevin. It was Bob Mortimer.

Please share your very low impact celebrity encounters here.
Fun low level anecdote: I once sat near Peter Mandelson in a theatre but I had a name blank and said rather too loudly ‘ooh look it’s Michael Portillo!’

He was visibly unamused.

Thank you Josh for all that you do. @darkentries.bsky.social
What about gay? Where’s the gay voice in all of this? It’s all been erased, forgotten, lost to AIDS or thrown out. I’ve literally been working on this for 16 years trying to amplify this underground gay music scene. - Josh Cheon interviewed by the Guardian www.theguardian.com/music/2026/f...

@theraygun.bsky.social I watched Greenland 2 last night and can confirm it's a Gerard Butler film.

"Back in St. Olaf we had a communist mayor, Bessie Glückenflancken. Everything was fine until she insisted that all the farms be collectivised. Well, the farmers didn't like that one bit and one day she was just gone. We never knew what happened" "Was she a cow, Rose?" "Well, yes." *Dorothy eyeroll*

NYC good deed of the day. Was in the pharmacy and a young lad probably early 20s came in holding a snow shovel looking stricken asking if they sold gloves. Pharmacist said yeah, no so I told the lad two places within a block. He asked my name, told me his, shook my hand & was off. Hope it worked out

J Crew moms of Santa Barbara - welcome to the resistance.
Ok so Santa Barbara is tiny and it's so Richie Rich white they made a whole soap named for the place everyone that lives there is exactly who you're picturing and they're out in force against ICE. We're gonna win this shit.
ICE agents just seem to consider pepper spraying people in the face to be an appropriate casual greeting. www.noozhawk.com/federal-ice-...
