Another @mayormarksutcliffe.bsky.social failure. His, “It’s not fair” campaign cost the city $10,000. That fine could have been worse. #OttawaVote2026

The X situation is an excellent example of the perils of neoliberalism. The state has become so beholden to a private service provider for public service announcements, they're resorting to equivocation on responsibility for CSAM and violent misogyny on that platform rather than risk losing it.

Due to decades of under investment of maintenance, this will continue. The mayor can talk he likes about efficiencies and savings and what a smart idea is to lower taxes, but the reality is anything but: we’ll see catastrophic failures & lowering of quality of life (BS surveys notwithstanding)

The Ottawa Senators deserve every bit of flack for this decision, because nothing about this signing is best in class. All their posturing rings hollow when this is how they act with their backs up against the wall.

Try not signing a homophobe and then maybe I will learn how to read. Thanks for your consideration on this matter admin.

The Ottawa Senators are blasting all the heated rivalry music at the game, so they don't mind profiting on queer sens fans but they do mind supporting them by not signing a bad homophobic goalie

Hiring more police doesn't reduce crime, though. Investing in social services does.

But at least we're not taxing the rich, right? :/

We’re combatting crime — bringing in tougher penalties for violent offenders and hiring more officers to help keep your community safe.

ICE isn’t bad because they’re doing a bad job at something that is necessary. it is that they are wholly unnecessary, and their function is evil.

i just don't think you get to say "America wants our land, our resources, our water, our country. But these are not idle threats. President Trump is trying to break us so that America can own us. That will never, that will never ever happen" in your election speech and then say stuff like this

10 cents more for this service btw. 4th highest rates in Canada.
Fairly catastrophic cancellations on OC Transpo today. Apparently there were ~70 buses short of what was needed to run service, plus some nasty snow- take a look at some routes!

What a weak, bland statement from the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Your neighbour is bombing other houses on the block and claiming their houses for their own and you statement is basically "the homeowners' association is aware and monitoring."
Please see my statement on the situation in Venezuela:
