I hope the rest of the world steps up for Jamaica because they certainly can't count on the US. Some of the best people I know are from that island. I wish everyone in the path of that monster luck and safety. It must be terrifying.

It's bizarre when the national political spotlight gets turned on your home state. All of a sudden everyone watches a 15 minute Youtube video or two, reads some tweets and skeets, and they have big, super "well-informed" opinions about a political arena they knew nothing about yesterday.

I'm sure I must be forgetting one but I can't remember a more overtly racist campaign than the one Cuomo is running against Mamdani. And most of America is just cool with it. The guy who got a bunch of dudes to beat up brown people in the subway is not the most racist person in the race. Crazy.
