Love this word. Let's use it in a sentence!

The ✨enshittification✨ of AI is rampant. Instead of asking how this tech can better society, we ask how to monetize it, and act as if the answers are the same. They're not.

I cannot thank my colleagues enough for this award. I have so many words, but none of them capture the gratefulness I feel to be teaching at Saint Mary's College

Hostile architecture in an ER is wild. Hard metal, perforated seats, and upward-angled seats make it incredibly uncomfortable to sit. People in the ER are already in pain and distress? Why make waiting even harder?

An attack on DEI is an attack on accessibility. If you think you or your family won't be affected, you are wrong.

A menu based on the belief that bland, controlled diets like milk pottage and broth could calm mental illness. This reflected early, unscientific ideas linking food and behavior. I wonder if we still have outdated ideas about mental health that still persist today.
In the 1800s asylum patients were often fed a lot of dense, heavy foods which were thought to calm them. Wealthy patients could expect to be fed hams, roasts, wines and malt liquors. Poor patients, as this list shows, were commonly fed stews, broths and bread

Once, I visited Scotland for a #nursing conference; I felt so out of place. Then, this Irish woman (she told me she was), a little drunk and full of joy, struck up convo. We talked and laughed like old friends. Her warmth made me feel at home. I still think about her and hope she's doing well.

I'm a little ashamed to say that I didn't realize so many of these were adaptations!

I'm looking forward to adding to my reading list.
Are you someone who has to read the book before seeing the film?

There are so many film and TV adaptations to look out for this year, so we’ve made a list of some of the books we are most excited to see on screen in 2025. 🎬

She saved a baby after a Black mother was denied care in a white's only hospital in 1945. It’s a stark reminder of how discrimination impacts access to care. Could this happen today to other groups? Sadly, yes. Equity in healthcare is still a fight. #HealthEquity #Nursing
