One depressing thing about 2025 is that no country in the world is treating covid with the seriousness it deserves—e.g. masks in healthcare, air purifiers in classrooms, and Long Covid moonshots. Even the early stand-outs (e.g. New Zealand) seem to have, unfortunately, joined the race to the bottom
