not the main point but it should be illegal to interview someone more than 3 times for the same position
3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

nearly all charities exist because government has failed. they are almost all ways for the wealthy to launder money and control what social programs are helped. the problems many charities solve are entirely because of the selfishness of people in power

My most woke opinion? This is probably a bit of a milquetoast take, but we should do away with landlords, because if people need it to live, it shouldn't be a commodity. Nobody should get to hoard housing, not some corporation, or individual assholes.

As a reminder, there is no legislative backing to this. Exact change is still required. It's just that everyone will be struggling to find enough pennies to do it correctly. And we'll all have to muddle through haphazardly.
