The important thing is not whether the Trump performing sexual favors for Bill Clinton thing is true. The important thing is that we all pretend it’s true, and that someone asks Trump about it every day.

“Every single person in the Epstein emails should be removed and excluded from positions of any power forever” would be a good op-ed, but probably won’t appear in the NYT. Even more importantly, it would be a good political party platform, but that probably won’t happen either

I just told my 5-year-old to take a deep breath and breathe in a new attitude and breathe out the old one, and the way she looked at me, my god, we are cooked

Something any survivor of abuse can tell you is that one of the most painful parts of surviving abuse is the isolation that follows. Abusers are seldom abandoned, but victims are.
"Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein" is a phrase that first appeared in newspapers in March 2011 and appeared regularly from that point onward. it is INCONCEIVABLE to me that this many people were still associating with him!!

As part of my quest to be The Christmas House You Can See From the ISS, I scour secondhand sites for more of what sates my festive hunger. I’m always tempted by the creepy vintage Santas. But when I go to pick some to buy, none of them feel creepy enough anymore. Did the Santas make me this way???

“Mommy! I love to play camogie!”

Btw she’s the one who chose Clare. And while she’s outgrowing the jersey, I think she’ll grow into the Stockholm Gaels very nicely :)

But if the Banner squad needs a sub…

My little guy. He is so good. He’s accepted that he now has to stay on the floor, no stairs, no jumping onto the couch or the bed, and he’s taking his meds without struggle. I don’t think he understands that this will go on for weeks, but pls root for him, he is a piece of my heart

Make no mistake, this excavation wouldn’t be happening if Catherine Corless hadn’t stuck her neck out and defied people telling her to leave it alone.

But the scale of this is unimaginable. It’s not just M&B homes, it’s laundries, it’s industrial schools, it’s giant psych hospitals.

There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

Black Baptist Churches
A Mosque
A small Appalachian church

The Danish social democrats saying the quiet part out loud: selling out on immigration (immigrants can’t vote) was worth it! Same here in Sweden. Reminder that there’s no such thing as “progressive on everything except immigrant rights.” (The family reunification policies are particularly noxious)
Sorry, one more #politics post this week.

Labour’s obsession with immigration makes them unelectable even for life long trad Labour supporters like me.

I will never ever vote for a racist party

I thought I was fine but still quite shaken from finding an unconscious woman on our road. We have no idea what happened to her, or how long she’d been there, but also it took about 25 mins for the ambulance to get there. She had a serious headwound and was going in and out of consciousness.

I asked someone who works on carbon credits to help me understand them because I literally do not and all I could get out of him was a frustrated “I’m an economist, so I like them.”

Not that anyone I interact with here is so naive but like…if we leave it to these people, we are truly cooked
