They also plan to make as much as possible retroactive, which means we all get to live in fear. None of us are safe.
If oppose further restrictions on immigrants lives, it’s important to speak up, loudly, and show it. Not just for the government, so immigrants know you have our backs!

I think the biggest obstacles in the discourse are that even the left uses the “immigrants give more than they take” argument which ends up *enabling* these awful policies, and in general talking about immigrants’ impact on society, rather than speaking about us as PART of society.

The Swedish government wants to pass TWELVE new immigration policies between now and September, including revoking citizenships, revoking permanent residency for “flawed lifestyle” and longer waits for family reunification.
Now would be a good time for folks to really wake up???

This is another outrageous attack on the dignity and safety of trans people — part of the ongoing campaign to eliminate them.
Also, *everyone* is less safe when a state is stripping legal ID from a scapegoat group. It’s a direct attack on trans people. It’s also precedent.
