Hey, content designers, a small glimmer of hope in the thought that someday, a few of our kind will get the job of adding a question to various application forms about whether an applicant has ever worked for ICE.

Just a stray hopeful thought that popped up this morning. May we live to see this.

MN folks feel free to correct, but hearing that supplies are pretty ok on the ground, and what’s needed most is rent money. Find vetted links to donate here and pls feel free to share more vetted ones in comments: www.standwithminnesota.com

Some really good news!
BREAKING: Texas Democrat Taylor Rehmet just won a *massive* landslide to flip a deep-red Senate district. He's up by 14 points in a Trump+17 seat—an overperformance of more than 30 points.

How did he do it? Here's our full writeup:

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

The point of large performative actions is to convince others they're not alone and make them feel safe to join
We need to shut down the word "performative" until we can figure out what the hell is going on. Of course adopting symbols of protest and resistance is performative! Performance is a core strategy for mass movements!! That's why the call them demonstrations!!!
"In response to criticisms she's heard about the hat being 'performative,' Mashaal, the shop owner, said the thousands of dollars that have gone toward supporting their community speaks for itself."

It’s not the number of times Jason Calacanis is in the Epstein files, it’s the SIMPERING he does*, and that he calls Maxwell “GMAX”

*It’s also the number, he is in it quite a bit

Can confirm. Nothing has changed on the ground. ICE still attacking people, kidnapping, all that stuff—and the city is still out protecting and helping neighbors
Absolutely surreal to continue to hear about drawdowns and lowered temperatures and things calming down in Minneapolis when, as far as I can tell, literally nothing has changed on the ground

I shouldn’t be surprised but I always am, at the level of unhinged denial a lot of majority Europeans have when told that there are injustices in “their” countries (a big tell is the way that it’s still not the immigrants’ country, too) that they aren’t aware of.

Yikes on bikes, the abuse.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

- Returned to Minnesota. Not released onto the streets of Texas, which is what's been happening.
- ICE must alert the refugees' lawyers so they aren't released into dangerous cold without someone to meet them

As far as I know, Tom Suozzi here still does not have a primary challenger in his district (NY-3 on Long Island).

The filing deadline is April 6 for the primary on June 23, and if there's a remotely progressive town council member or PTA president in that district, this is the time to make a move.
