Ever since I learned about this study enrolling I have been eagerly awaiting the results. Researchers in Uganda took a centuries-old cultural practice mothers carrying babies on their backs in cloth wraps and turned it into a public health tool. You got to love it!

Tangentially-related point. There are plenty of viral infections that, if caught *during pregnancy*, are associated w an increase of c ⅓ in the likelihood of having a child w autism.

If you catch such a virus, & feel shite, what might you take for pain relief?

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

@trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social Do you still have a link to that article on drowning that you normally share on twitter? I can't find it. Kids are doing 'drowning prevention week' at lessons, splashing around and shouting! Older one learning to use pool noodles to rescue a friend at least too.

The awesome foursome Mars, Jupiter, Venus & Saturn have been on display for weeks + Neptune & Uranus if you have a telescope. We won't see Mercury until late Feb🤔
