I’m going to #AnimeNYC this weekend, so I’ll actually be doing more than my usual routine of going to the dr and lying in bed in pain with my cats.

!!!!! yes everyone should read this, it's truly a work of art! i ordered the original newsprint version years ago and it's seriously one of my favorite comics not only for it being puerto rican-made and about our revolutionary history, but for the sheer craft of it 😭💖
Not sure how I missed this in the initial Eisner announcement but John Meijas's The Puerto Rican War is up for Best Reality Based Work & it's roughly hundred pages of linocut comics that's taken him YEARS to execute. So impressive on a technical level!
