As NHS England is being abolished, it's time for a fact reminder. NHS managers comprise circa 3% of the NHS workforce compared to 9.5% of the UK workforce in 2023. It spends 2p in the pound on healthcare administration, compared to 5p in Germany and 6p in France. www.nhsconfed.org/articles/are...

The real change the NHS needs is the removal of all outsourcing from our hospitals, a real payrise for workers, the creation of a National Care Service to support us in later life and investment for the long-term future.

The UK is already one of the worse countries for caring for the least well off & those that require support due to ill health

This massive inequality isn't inevitable. The need for foodbanks has skyrocketed in the the UK – as has the number of billionaires and their wealth.
These things are two sides of the same coin. Trussell do incredible, vital work, but this inequality shouldn't be how our country works.
