Trump, like every autocrat, wants his own personal army. Anything thinking the hugely expanded ICE will only be used for immigration is delusional. As always, he will go as far as he is allowed to go.
Radley Balko is always worth reading, but when he talks about police militarization, he’s speaking as one of the most qualified journalists we have. He’s rather apocalyptic about where we are with a huge ICE force. He’s right.
