This is the message of a failed, feckless, and leaderless party. We need a party with backbone, and the only path to it is through a cleansing primary season. If your Dem is up for reelection, and you aren't damn sure they're fighting the fascists with everything they've got, primary the bastard.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions
"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

This is untenable.
If you’re attacking people who think this is wrong, you’re doing the bidding of the ultra rich while they laugh at you behind your back.

Retired Army Sgt. Brian Wofford spoke to me this morning at the Oklahoma City #NoKings protest. Didn’t expect him to be carrying his DD214 so I asked some warmup questions like when he got out and whether his injury was service-related.
He paused while describing the car bomb in Iraq to say this:

The plan is everything good is going to be indie now. News. Video games. Comics. Movies. TV. Animation. All the real stuff is being made by a team of ten people or fewer. Half are dating each other and the other half are trying to be cool about it. Everyone is broke as a joke but has their soul.
