Hey gang, it's 2026 and I'm in need of work so this is your friendly reminder that if you are cooking up a comic of any sort to self-publish, crowdfund, or put out through Image (or the like) then you should consider hiring me to be your editor.

Publishers, hit me up if you wanna talk too!

GUH. More info keeps only making this worse.
Media knew and kept it under wraps! Officials lied under oath to Congress! (While also acknowledging it is illegal to do this without their vote!)

Yet, I have spiteful confidence the "illegal" part of this will have no consequence

Thats good to know (?) but a strange aspect I never considered about cord-cutting.

Netflix didnt interrupt our viewing. Even when I put on YouTube, it was still suggesting the same science / comic book / lego / comedy stuff (though we do watch some news there)

It feels...terrifying and sobering to realize they really have been reconstructing things behind the scenes to make blitzkreig moves people would otherwise massively reject

I ACTIVELY read real and substantive news, and THOSE are the stories Microsoft was pushing for me today.

Disturbing.

Peripheral glances at headlines when opening my phone or tabs for other things showed me OTHER HEADLINES (from memory):
- Supreme Court half-says no to something
- DiCaprio wont attend a film fest (NEWS?!)
- Ex-Mayor Adams mad at something said about him on NYE broadcasts

Not to be reductive, but learning it almost a day after the fact makes it easier to understand how so many Americans who 'dont like politics' simply never heard about the countless, comparatively smaller scale issues, and awfulness they might be disturbed by (if they knew)

WAIT OUR GOVT DID A COUP ON A FOREIGN COUNTRY TODAY?!?!

We've mostly been playing Mario Party and going out for some plans the last couple days so Im only just finding out American leadership violated domestic and international law that also ignores the overwhelming will of constituents AGAINST

If courts just ruled that executive branch can impose $100k fee on HB-1 visas, can a future Dem admin start imposing $100k fees on heavy duty gun purchases?

BIG agree
one of my holiday break reading projects is catching up on this stack of trades from Mad Cave Studios…who imo has done an admirable job of putting out weirdo original comics within the direct market at a time when many publishers have cut way back on that

Childhood home: human-operated garage door

20s-30s: no car / carports
December 17, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Oh right, having a modern garage means when the power goes out (currently) we can't get the car out -_-
