As a result, Jorge is now cared for by two siblings who are barely adults themselves.”

You cannot have a healthy democracy in which a president can pardon someone for proven gross crimes such as sex trafficking.
Trump just told reporters on Air Force One that he hasn’t ruled out a pardon for Ghislane Maxwell

Investigation Shows Trump’s Boat Strikes Aren’t Killing ‘Narco-Terrorists’
The Trump administration has been ramping up its rhetoric against Venezuela since Day 1. Efforts to arrest up to 3,000 migrants a day focused on Venezuelans, many of whom had fled to the United States seeking a land with actual freedom. Those who weren't simply locked up in ICE's many forever prisons were sent to places even worse than the autocratic government they had fled.

Only 29% of Americans support using the U.S. military to kill suspected drug traffickers without a judge or court being involved, a rebuke of President Donald Trump's strikes in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific Ocean, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

This is the most glamorous opening to an article about a white supremacist flattering journalist who lied to her readers and editors while having an affair with narcissistic crank who eats roadkill, swims in sewer water, will cause children to die, and is 50 years her senior that I've ever read.

one of the underlying factors in all the Epstein stuff is that his correspondents - even the ones who likely did not participate in abuse themselves - are completely incapable of imagining his victims as people. he is real to them, the girls aren't.

There's no problem Vance won't blame on immigrants, even if he has to invent the problem himself.

A few weeks ago he was insisting immigrants lived in cramped squalor and their (white) neighbors had a right to be upset about that.

Now they're so rich they're snatching up all the good houses? OK.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric

"A guy" (known child sex trafficker) "emailing a reporter" (at the most important newspaper in the world, about a presidential candidate's ties to himself, a known child sex trafficker) about "old girlfriends" (underage girls they trafficked) is not "a whole news story" (yes it is.)
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.
