The issue with online "activism" it can become outrage tourism, were its not about the person, its about this temporary idea of something to fight for. A simple two word joking post, to the outrage tourist becomes "a purposeful attack on a minority" just cus others say it is, truth doesnt matter.

Ever since the election, it's been unhinged on here. I feel like people think they need to be maximally angry at everyone and everything all the time or they're not properly antifascist. But being angry and mean constantly is not healthy or helpful.

The timing of the old grandpas running the democratic party waking up from their weeks long hibernation just to push centerist bs only a few days after more progressive politician victories is really funny to me. couldnt be more clear they only care when the billionaire class is effected.

Ford just put every renter in Ontario into an even more precarious position. This is a clear and present danger to the 1.7 million renters in Ontario.
In particular, they want leases to no longer necessarily remain in effect indefinitely, so that landlords have more options for creating tenant turnover.

This is bs. Ethical ai is impossible without creating an entirely new ai model from scratch. No pretrained data no midjourney use etc. Considering the illegally collected datasets needs to continuously grow for ai to produce anything useful. An actual ethical ai would produce terrible results.

Pet peve of mine: people saying "stonewall was a riot" undermines and simplifies the years worth of activism the people who were involved in stonewall participated in afterwards. Without STAR or other organizations that were created or changed cus of a riot, the stonewall riot would be meaningless.
