Public policy professor studying racial disparities is law enforcement.
If you read this @nytimes.com article expecting a section talking about how the President's family making deals with a foreign power is inherently corrupt, you'll be disappointed.

SNAP benefits are about to lapse because of the shutdown. Reminders:
1. About 1 in 2 children will receive SNAP benefits at some point and 1 in 4 children are receiving benefits in a given month.
2. Trump is already planning to cut SNAP in other ways.

In RFK Jr and Trump’s upside down world, people being medicated for psychiatric problems is the root of violence, not, as logic would dictate, the other way around.
RFK Jr on the mass shooting in Minnesota: "We're launching studies on the potential contribution of some of the SSRI drugs and some of the other psychiatric drugs that might be contributing to violence."

How do you publish a news article about a president pardoning the son of someone who just gave him a million dollars without using the term "conflict of interest" or consulting a legal expert.

What happened to USAID foments a constitutional crisis the likes of which most Americans haven't seen in their lifetimes.

You can't just eliminate it. When/if courts say so, will Trump/Musk defer? Courts don't have armies.

The story I've been waiting to read: www.propublica.org/article/usai...
In Breaking USAID, the Trump Administration May Have Broken the Law
ProPublica’s reporting provides new details about what legal risk officials were prepared to take and what laws they may have violated on their way to creating a “constitutional crisis.”

Within 24 hours of the Bourbon Street terror attack, reporters pieced together a pretty complete picture of the suspect. But a key early bit of misreporting confused the public — and the president-elect — and now it's warping the political dialogue. I wrote about it here: www.cnn.com/2025/01/02/m...

When I was a lawyer in the White House, I can’t stress enough how much we all cared about following the rules - the black letter law and the informal limits of tradition, morality and shame.

You really can’t fathom yet what it will mean for the most powerful actors to care about none of that.
