Spent the day carpet washing the entire house. Absolutely knackered. So much carpet. Such a heavy machine.

Vague idea for a modern fantasy campaign where some of the mages come from an overrated British magical college that's a lot better at instilling racism and other forms of bigotry than magic, but everyone respects the clearly deranged, virulently prejudiced grads because their accents are so dreamy.

doc martens are hell to wear and really not really worth it and haven't been for many years now. they are brought and sold on the reputation of their sign value, not their quality.

if you care about boots, try solovairs instead.

My take on the "AVATAR hasn't made a big cultural impact" thing is that for movies in the last 40 years to make a big cultural impact, people need to watch them over and over and over, and among popular films, AVATAR is uniquely bad at being a movie that people want to watch on their TV.

I’m going to be honest and say I’ve been doing this in post-lunch meetings since my mid 20s.
“.. A Washington Post analysis of multiple video feeds of the meeting Tuesday showed that during nine separate instances, Trump’s eyes were closed for extended periods or he appeared to struggle to keep them open, amounting cumulatively to nearly six minutes.”

I want to go on record again on this matter: a series of films that entertain people for 2-3 hours once every few years then vanish from cultural awareness is infinitely preferable to an endless conveyor belt of media products that exploit the nostalgia of Gen X men over and over until we all die.
it's that time of year when a bunch of people start pretending their personal distaste for the avatar franchise can bend reality in their favor against the inevitable tide of james "big jim" cameron's next guaranteed blockbuster smash hit. you can ignore them, they are fools

In a previous job, I noticed that a bespoke analysis document produced by Deloitte included lengthy unattributed sections copied directly from Wikipedia. I noticed this because I wanted to know more so I googled some of the keywords. It was not subtle.
I love searching for whatever PDFs end up on the web that these consulting firms create, a few years ago, I noticed one just kept reusing the same work for every university cause sometimes they’d forget to change the file name or details. It’s all a scam.
This is the 2nd time a major government report from Deloitte has been found to contain errors likely generated by AI.

First in Australia and now, as The Independent has confirmed, in a major healthcare policy paper for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador #nlpoli #AI #deloitte

Google: do you have pain while walking?
Me: yes, always, I have chronic pain
Google: doesn’t matter, the treatment is always just “try not to walk on it”
