PAGE ONE: (5 Panels) PANEL 1- Establishing the scene is Silver at the beach. He’s sitting on a log of driftwood, the sky bathed in orange as it nears sunset. He’s got a pensive expression as he slumps forward, knees on his elbows. He’s troubled by something, but trying to put on a brave face. Panel 2- Smaller, close up. He looks behind him, surprised. Blaze (off panel) Silver! Panel 3- Silver turns more. From over his shoulder angle. Blaze the Cat is shown approaching, , small smile on her face as she does. Silver Oh, Blaze! I had no clue you were here! What brings you by? Blaze I was in the area and heard you had gone to the beach. Panel 4 - Silver is shown turning back towards the water, his face remaining wistful as Blaze looks down, concern on her face. Blaze Though a few people said you had a serious look. I had thought there might be trouble...Am I correct? Panel 5 – From behind, we see Silver and Blaze staring off towards the fiery orange sunset across the water. Silver No, there’s no trouble, it’s just… ...Do you ever feel like you’ve forgotten something really important? PAGE TWO: (5 Panels) PANEL 1- Silver’s bowed head is shown looking down. The panel is wide, showing “Crisis City” from Sonic 06. Silver Every so often I get these strange dreams. It’s a lot like where...when I came from, but details don’t match up. PANEL 2- The outline of Mephiles is shown floating near Iblis, with two lesser monsters nearby Silver Everything’s always in flames, and there were these terrible monsters. I can almost see their faces, but the details keep slipping and shifting like sand. PANEL 3- Silver’s face is directly in the center of this panel. On one side is Mephiles, with Sonic shown floating and unconscious. On the other side is Iblis with Blaze floating and unconscious. It is as if the two entities are ghostly giants looking down at the duo Silver Worst of all, I see them hurting my friends. And no matter what I try, I can’t save them. PANEL 4- In the present, Blaze is now sitting next to Silver, looking at him, her bright eyes filled with concern. Blaze How strange...I could swear I’ve had similar nightmares. And I admit, they’ve plagued me also for a time. PANEL 5 – Silver is shown looking towards Blaze, a little hope and comfort in his eyes as he listens and she shares. Blaze However, they did stop...Or rather, they ceased to bother me. Silver Huh? How? PAGE THREE: (6 Panels) PANEL 1- Blaze is shown holding out a hand. The setting sun is almost at dusk. There’s dark around them. Blaze Though we come from different places in time and space, there is one thing we share. The motivation to move beyond pains of the past. PANEL 2- Blaze is shown looking down at her hand as it conjures fire. The dark around them as the sun’s setting is starless. Blaze In my past, my flames were not my strength, but my shame. I felt ostracized and was feared by others despite my position. Before I came to this world, I was alone, driven by duty, but also a desperation. PANEL 3- Blaze is still shown holding her flame as she explains, with Silver looking at her closely. Blaze I grew past this, but only after meeting Sonic and my adventure here. It was then that I learned to live in the present. That helped, but what truly helped me move forward is meeting you. Silver Me? How? PANEL 4 – Blaze looks at him warmly, the light from her fire illuminating him. Blaze Because, despite all you’ve been through, you go don’t stop. Not even when time itself is against you. You may have been hurt by what you experienced, but you continued to move forward and believe a brighter future is possible, no matter how dark the moment may seem. PANEL 5 – Blaze then looks up, as does Silver. There is a hint that stars have begun to shine. Blaze When I’m haunted by memories of the past or dreadful dreams, I always remember to hope. PANEL 6 – The both of them are shown from behind, still facing towards the ocean, but now they look skyward where the sky is bright with stars. Blaze The same way you do. PAGE FOUR: (5 Panels) PANEL 1 – Silver stands and looks over at Blaze, she’s put out her fire now that the stars are lighting the sky. Silver Thank you, Blaze. Honestly, that’s so nice… Maybe bad experiences stay with us, but I never want mine to define my future. PANEL 2- Silver’s hand is in frame, the mark on his glove aglow. Silver (off panel) Or my friends’ future. PANEL 3 – Blaze is shown rising, taking his hand. She’s demure and graceful while Silver smirks. Blaze That’s more like the Silver I know. No matter where or when, know I’ll be happy to fight alongside you. PANEL 4 – Silver gives her a friendly chuckle and she laughs, covering her mouth with one hand while they walk away from the beach. The tide is moving up towards the log they sat on. Silver Sure, but promise you’ll be there when there’s no fighting, too. I wanna be sure all my friends are with me when we can finally relax once and for all. Blaze Oh, Silver. It’s a promise. PANEL 5- The two are shown walking away from the beach to the town. Their footprints trail them, but it may have washed away the first steps of each. (END)
