I’m pretty frank about my chronic illness but there is only so much I can talk about it because a) it starts to bum me out and b) I’m convinced that those who have not experienced it are incapable of understanding the breath and extent of how it feels and debilitates.
Chronically ill people not constantly speaking about how terrible we feel does not mean that we are comfortable. We’re hiding it because most people don’t want to listen.
