Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

The World Economic Forum discusses global risks. “Uncertainty is the defining theme of the global risks outlook in 2026…A…landscape is emerging where confrontation is replacing collaboration, and trust-the currency of cooperation-is losing its value.”

There must be accountability for rogue agents who violate the law.
“A federal judge on Friday barred federal agents in Minneapolis from arresting peaceful protesters, or using nonlethal munitions and crowd control tools against them.”

Is CNN a news corporation or an entertainment network?
The thing is, some people can make mistakes, get things wrong, be careless, etc. But that’s not what Jennings did here. Jennings knowingly, purposefully and intentionally lied to utterly distort what was said, which CNN pays him to do every day. CNN is the enabler of this.

Tillis is spot on. The Senate can't confirm a Trump toady to succeed Powell at the Fed. The rest of the game is now out in the open, and it doesn't end well.

Federal Reserve Chair, Jerome Powell, issues statement after the DOJ issued notice that he is being subpoenaed for criminal indictment. The DOJ’s move is quite unprecedented. No U.S. Federal Reserve Chair has ever been issued such a subpoena.

My thoughts today are with the security people and police officers who defended the Capitol on January 6 and have been treated with such distain since by the GOP. For them and the Democratic leadership who lived through such chaos and no doubt continue to carry the scars within. We will not forget.

.@PabloReports: What do you make of the White House blaming the police for the violence on January 6th?

McGovern: That’s offensive. What kind of sick human being would say that? I was here that day.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.
